The report indicated the construction of underground bunkers for storing weapons and fuel, as well as fortified shelters for armored vehicles at a key base in the region.</p> <p>"How can China build a military base near Pangong Tso on land that was under Indian occupation until May 2020," Kharge said.</p> <p>In response, the BJP countered, stating that the area in question, Sirijap, was attacked and seized by Chinese troops on October 21, 1962, during the tenure of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.</p> <h3>SC To Hear On July 8 Plea On Free Sanitary Pads For Class 6-12 Girl Students </h3> <p>The Supreme Court will hear a petition on July 8 that calls for the Centre and states to provide free sanitary pads to female students in classes 6-12. It will also ensure separate toilet facilities for girls in all government-aided and residential schools.</p> <p>A bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, Justices J P Pardiwala, and Manoj Misra is to hear the plea from Congress leader and social worker Jaya Thakur. Thakur has emphasised the challenges faced by adolescent girls from underprivileged backgrounds in schools.</p> <p>In the previous hearing on February 5, Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati informed the court that the Centre is working on gathering all necessary materials to develop a national policy for distributing menstrual hygiene products to schoolgirls, as per the court's orders from April 10, 2023, and November 6, 2023.</p>
